The Montgomery County Council is considering a “Climate Action Plan” that by the proponents’ own admission, would cost hundreds of millions of dollars at minimum. This would foist on us much higher taxes and energy bills, and further cripple the already COVID-crippled economy, It diverts resources from education, community safety and our real priorities. Worse, proponents offer no estimate of the alleged global warming it proports to mitigate. The Plan will have no measurable impact. I’ve submitted my comments—see PDF—for the Feb 28 deadline.
